PRO XS 115hp
When speed matters most
The Mercury 115 Pro XS offers significantly better performance than any other high output 115 hp outboard currently on the market.
In fact, the 115 Pro XS is lighter than even the competition's lightest 115 hp engine. Its displacement at 2.1 liters is larger than any other competing 115 hp engine model. This unbeatable combination offers higher torque, better performance and greater durability. Meet the new "ruler" of the 150 hp high output engine class. The new Mercury 150 Pro XS is equipped to push mid-sized boats to the limits. The engine with the 3.0-liter block offers the maximum displacement – and, at the same time, the lowest weight – in the 150 hp class, while at the same time it has a system for enhancing acceleration (Transient Spark) by changing the ignition timing (advance) for increased performance. Down low, there is a sturdy and proven 4.8 inch diameter leg with four forward water intake ports in the nose of the torpedo. This provides more flexibility to mount the motor higher on the transom to install an additional bracket
stern or for a more aggressive trim angle change, in order to maximize top speed performance
Other features of both the 115 and all new Pro XS models are as follows:
- High performance hard rubber engine mounts for better handling and feel at high speeds
speeds - Unattainable acceleration during the planning process
- Unrivaled battery charge management
- Best-in-class acceleration
- Ignition timing (advance) is continuously adjusted and optimized to increase torque during acceleration, resulting in better torque on the propeller shaft. Also, the lowest weight and largest displacement in the class help to achieve unparalleled acceleration during the planing process on a wide variety of boats.
Engine settings belong to the high performance category
The increased rpm range at full throttle allows a wider range of propeller pitches to be used, depending on what you prefer: top acceleration during planing or top speed.
Smart battery charging
A high current output alternator takes care of the flawless operation of electronic systems, lights, ventilation pumps and audio systems. The new low voltage battery charge management system automatically raises the idle speed and consequently the alternator output current to recharge the boat's batteries to the correct level.
