Now, Suzuki has improved the existing flagship of the family (DF350A / 325A / 300B) and developed new technologies in order to make further progress while maintaining the same orientation.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Integrated Address System
  • The steering cylinder is integrated into the body of the machine, resulting in a simple engine appearance and a clean finish. Updated gearbox
  • Quite a distance from the Vessel Basin
  • In some of the boat types, the outer cylinder could be in contact with the boat basin. With this new system, there are no such problems. This system also allows for installation on different types of boats.
  • More Tilt, No risk of damage
  • Since the outer cylinder is redundant, the angle of retraction of the engine will be greater regardless of the shape of the boat's basin. By ensuring a greater distance from the surface of the water, the foot can be prevented from sinking into the water. The result is "less wear and tear on the outboard."
  • Renewed Gear Box
  • Reduced Gearbox Oil Temperature
  • To improve reliability, transmission oil circulation has been improved, which suppresses the increase in temperature of the transmission oil.
  • Faster Final Speed
  • The new gearbox design reduced the frontal projected area by 4%, which increased the top speed by more than 2%*.

New Way to Change Gearbox Oil

Foot Compatible with Simple Models
The foot, including the advanced gearbox, is compatible with the simple models DF350A / 325A / 300B. It is also installed as standard equipment on all GEKI models.

Improved Consumption
Since the frontal surface of the gearbox has been reduced by 4%, water resistance has been reduced and contributes to better fuel efficiency.

Reduced Amount of Gearbox Oil
You can save money on transmission oil thanks to the efficient oil circulation, which has succeeded in reducing the oil from 3.2 liters to 2.8 liters.

Dual Air Intake
The DF350AMD/DF300BMD are equipped with a dual air intake with a suitable shape to remove water from the air entering the engine. The incorporation of a direct intake system enables a compression ratio of 12.0:1 (DF350AMD), 10.5:1 (DF300BMD), ultimately leading to higher engine performance.

Two Propellers
The Dual Propeller system efficiently converts engine power into underwater propulsion. As an added bonus, because each propeller rotates in a different direction, excellent stability is achieved. In addition, counter-rotating propellers produce strong reverse thrust.

Two Spray Nozzles
Efficient combustion and knock suppression are essential to produce more power. Suzuki achieved efficient combustion with optimal fuel injection by adopting Dual Injectors and optimal combustion chamber configuration. In addition, the two injectors spray fuel to enhance the cooling action in the combustion chamber and suppress knock. In fact, Suzuki managed to increase power by 3%.

Two Water Inlets
Designing the gearbox shape also required the water intakes to be relocated. It was important to place the main and secondary intakes as far apart as possible and design them to ensure a reliable amount of cooling water, especially at high speeds.

Double Air Intake Louvers System
The DF350A is equipped with a double louver on the air intake to remove water from the air entering the engine.

Double louvres remove water from the air. Incorporating a direct intake system, Suzuki's dual-louver system contributes to higher engine performance.

Dual Fuel Injectors
Dual fuel injectors deliver the right amount of fuel at exactly the right time to the cylinder.

These double backs contribute to higher efficiency and better economy.

Shifted Central Axis
The offset center axis allows us to make our engines smaller, moving the center of gravity of the outboard forward while improving weight distribution, power output, balance and vibration reduction.

2-Stage Reduction Gears
The DF350A outboard also incorporates a 2-stage reduction, which results in a large gear ratio. It provides strong torque for quick acceleration and excellent top speed.

Direct Air Intake
A new engine cover design contains the direct intake system for a smoother and cooler airflow that increases engine performance.

Lean Burn
Fuel efficiency matters whether you are at sea for pleasure or work. Lean Burn Control Technology predicts the engine's fuel needs according to operating conditions and then provides the optimum fuel/air mixture to the engine. The system is designed to save fuel both at low speeds and at cruising speed.

Suzuki electronic control
The sophisticated electronic control eliminates the friction and resistance of traditional strings. This gives smooth, precise control with immediate response, particularly at low revs and during manoeuvres. The system can control up to six engines with controls at two different points on the boat. Combined with the Lean Burn control system, it helps improve fuel efficiency over a wide range of revs.

Variable Valve Timing (VVT)
VVT is used to vary the timing of the intake camshafts and optimize low and mid-range operation. This allows the engine to deliver maximum power throughout its operating range, producing more torque at low and mid-range for strong acceleration. The whole process is done automatically leaving you to enjoy the power and performance.

Self-adjusting Timing Chain
The timing chain runs in oil so it never needs lubrication and has an automatic hydraulic tensioner so it stays properly adjusted at all times. Simple, effective and maintenance free.

Dual Water Inlet
The engine cooling system relies on water fed from the water inlet in the leg. Using this dual water intake increases the flow of water to the foot, providing a greater amount of water. Placing the front intake through the nose of the gearbox offers more water delivery, especially at high speeds. The second inlet is also positioned below allowing the DF350A to operate in shallow water as well.

High Compression Ratio
12.0:1 (Maximum compression ratio of SUZUKI outboards) The high compression ratio produces impressive performance and power from the exhaust of the 4390cc engine.

Oil filter
The location of the oil filter is easy for maintenance.
